Another big Cat for White Horse

To meet increased demand for its services, sports turf specialist White Horse Contractors has purchased its sixth bulldozer, a Caterpillar D5N LGP.

The machine - fitted with the latest AccuGrade laser technology - was put to work immediately on the construction of a full size 3G Artificial Turf Pitch in Northampton.

White Horse managing director, Robert Donald said: “The requirement for this latest addition to the company's fleet was identified through the increasing demand for millimetre tolerance earthworks and constructions.

“When specifying our latest CAT dozer, we chose the D5N LGP for its build quality, its performance record and the AccuGrade automated machine control system. The construction of Artificial Turf Pitches and high profile natural turf facilities, such as those currently under construction for the Welsh FA training facility, Glamorgan, will all benefit from the capabilities of this machine.”

The company - whose principle activity is the construction of natural and artificial sportsturf facilities - also counts Ascot Racecourse, Chelsea Football Club, The Football Association, The Royal Parks and the England Cricket Board amongst its clients.
